VOLUNTEERING

Volunteer Tips:

Knock loudly.

Give client plenty of time to answer the door.

Some clients have great difficulty getting to the door, or they have difficulty hearing.

If someone does not answer the door, let the Meal Coordinator or Executive Director know so they can check on the client to ensure their safety.

If at any time you feel the client is in medical distress, call 911 first;

then call the Executive Director or Meal Coordinator to report the incident.

Observe the client and his/her surroundings for signs of abuse, neglect, or injury.

Some signs of abuse are:

poor hygiene,

dirty clothes,

weight loss,

uneaten meals,

body language, etc.

Report any suspected case of abuse to the Executive Director or Meal Coordinator

Thank YOU for being in the front lines of the

battle to help all those who need our help.  You have our support and our gratitude!!!
